This old beast was built by the Fuchs Coach Factory in Heidelberg.
I noticed something that looks like a year, 1955, on the sign with the company's name.
If true this would be one of the last excavator they built, because Fuchs stopped in 1957.

A pity that this machine is not better taken care of. It must be very interesting to see it functioning.

Also quite interesting is the chair of the engine-driver. An iron frame with wooden slats.
Like those chairs you see in public parks and terraces.
